Custom wine tour planning

Wine tours are not packaged trips — every itinerary is built around your group's preferences (sparkling, big reds, Cabernet, sustainable, female-led, etc.), your reservations, and your timing. We coordinate winery appointments, lunch reservations in Yountville or on Sonoma Plaza, and the timing buffer that keeps everyone arriving relaxed. Most custom tours run 6–8 hours including travel from the Bay Area.

Vendor-approved vehicles and COIs

Many Napa and Sonoma estates require carriers to be on their approved vendor list with current insurance certificates on file. We maintain active certificates at every major Napa and Sonoma estate and issue venue-specific COIs the same day a new winery is added to your itinerary. The list includes Stags Leap, Beaulieu, Domaine Carneros, Schramsberg, Frog's Leap, Cakebread, Chateau St. Jean, Jordan, Ferrari-Carano, and dozens more.

Vehicle selection by winery

Not every winery accepts a 56-passenger motorcoach. Some require 27 or 37-passenger shuttles for clearance and parking; others welcome any size. We pre-scout every itinerary and recommend the right vehicle. Smaller groups (2–6) often book the Lincoln Navigator L or Executive Sedan; 8–14 book the Executive Sprinter; 14+ move to executive shuttles. For party-style groups, the Sprinter Limo is the most-booked vehicle.

Livermore Valley wine country

The Livermore Valley wine country (Wente, Concannon, Murrieta's Well, McGrail, and a growing list of boutique estates) is often overlooked. We run regular Livermore wine tours from Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon, and the larger Bay Area — usually a half-day at half the cost of a full Napa trip. Livermore is also the right choice for last-minute group bookings when Napa availability is tight.

Harvest season and special access

Harvest season (August through October) is the most spectacular time to visit wine country and the most-booked period of our year. We help groups secure private estate access during harvest, schedule crush-pad visits, and time arrivals around morning fruit drop-offs. Book harvest-season tours 60–90 days in advance for best availability.

Wine-country wedding weekend tours

Many wedding parties add a Friday or Sunday wine tour to a Saturday wedding weekend. We package wedding-shuttle service and wine-tour transportation under one contract with consistent drivers and vehicles. Day-after brunch in Yountville or on Sonoma Plaza is a common Sunday morning addition.

Sonoma County and Healdsburg

Sonoma County wineries (Healdsburg in particular) have grown into a distinct wine-country experience — boutique tasting rooms, Michelin restaurants, and walkable plaza visits. We run dedicated Healdsburg, Russian River Valley, and Dry Creek tours that combine winery visits with food experiences. Most Sonoma tours run from the Bay Area as full-day itineraries.

Winery transportation is typically priced hourly with a 5–6 hour minimum. Napa wine tours from the Bay Area: $1,100–$2,400 depending on vehicle and duration.
